Mr. Mohammed Rafiq Al-Khatib has had 27 years of professional experience with Saudi Aramco, prior to his first appointment with AGOC in December, 2010 as Executive Director, Projects & Engineering.

In addition, Mr. Al-Khatib has been appointed as the Executive Director of Operations (EDO) in KJO and as a member of the Joint Operations Committee. His responsibilities include overseeing the Onshore Production Department (OND), Offshore Production Department (OFD), Exploration and Development Department (EDD) and Terminal & Marine Department (TMD).

During the period Mr. Al-Khatib worked with Saudi Aramco, he held various assignments in Drilling and Workover Engineering Department, Production Engineering Department, Reservoir Management, Description and Simulation,  and also in Avails and Well Testing. Prior to joining AGOC he was based in the Northern Area Oil Operation where he worked with the  Producing Engineering Department, Production Engineering and Well Services Department, Ras Tanura and Safaniyah Producing Departments.

Mr. Al-Khatib during his professional career with Aramco has been involved in many projects, such as Hawiyah, Haradh Developments in the Ghawar Field, Abu Hadriyah, Fadhili & Khursaniyah in Northern Area Oil Operation and most recently with the Northern Area Offshore Gas Field Development of Karan, Hasba, Arabia and Madien on the West coast.
